I realized , that we have a lot to share with you. And I’m sorry , I didn’t do a good job in keeping you posted.

So far in this year we saw quite a few changes in Rocky and wanted to keep the momentum.

First of all we decided to get Rocky in Jacob’s Ladder (http://jacobsladdercenter.com/). Rocky was evaluated by Ms. Amy. She showed us what Rocky needs. So, we moved to Roswell from Suwanee and got him enrolled in Jacob’s ladder. We continued with quite a few stuff at home and overall we saw some good results.
In few months we could see few changes in Rocky. Luckily, we got in touch with Georgia State University about an ongoing trial involving Sony Eye Toy (something like XBOX Kinect 360). So in effect for past few months Rocky’s schedule was changed….we will do a lot of activities suggested by Ms.Amy at home, followed by a bit of gaming on Sony PS2 with Eye Toy and then followed by a bit of Cycling on Trademill or walk on Rocky’s Gait Trainer/Taos Walker inside the apartment complex. Rocky’s tolerance went up. Rocky continued to show occasional instability with his sleep (sometimes he won’t sleep for 3 nights at a stretch increasing his probability of getting seizure).

We started giving Melatonin with regular milk (30 – 60 ml of milk) at night. This, “kind of” controlled his sleep.

We have been following up with Anat Baniel Method for last 1 yr…as we were trying to save money before we commit to the program. Finally we decided that its time to go. Rocky received a week long therapy at http://www.anatbanielmethod.com. We learnt a lot and we are still learning…lots book materials to go through and videos to watch. ABM method looks to me as a very logical step. In five days of therapy, Rocky communicated lot better, ate better by mouth, slept better and his spasticity vanished to a good extent. Five days and so many impacts….

So, now we have planned to move to CA for further therapy and looking for options to save on cost as we move. It’s a big change for us and is not easy. I’ve my visa related issues to deal with….so sending Shivi and Rocky to CA till I reach there and join them.

Let’s see how it goes.

Please note that Georgia State University is till looking for subjects with physical problem (like my son has) to get in theri program involving Sont PS2. I will try to post more details about the program…till then get in touch with me for details. They requested that I share the info..the cost for the GSU program is “0”…it is free.

Jacob’s Ladder has been good to us and we wish we could continue on that …, but with limited resource all we can do is minimize cost on low priority while try to get the best. So we decided that we will go with ABM.

Feel free to ask me questions about ABM , I will be happy to answer.

Thanks,
Prasun
